In ihrem seit 2017 konstant wachsenden Projekt Abzgram bricht die polnische Medienkünstlerin Karolina Wojtas mit denkbar allen Regeln der Fotografie: seien es schräge Kompositionen, übersättigte Farben, Unschärfe oder ein aggressiver Einsatz des Blitzes. Diese mal vorgefundenen, mal inszenierten Szenarien nutzt sie für die Bedruckung verschiedener Materialien, mit denen sie den Ausstellungsraum in eine begehbare Installation verwandelt. Mit böser Ironie antwortet Karolina Wojtas komplexe Multimedia-Arbeit auf das rigide polnische Schulsystem, das Kindern Regeln auferlegt, die militärische Züge haben: stillstehen, sich nicht berühren, die Hände am Körper entlang gestreckt, den Blick geradeaus. Im Sinne eines Reenactments lädt sie die Leser*innen ein, sich dabei in die Welt des Kindes zurückzuversetzen. Die Publikation erscheint im Rahmen des C/O Berlin Talent Awards 2022 mit Texten von Matthias Gründig und begleitet die Ausstellung KarolinaWojtas. Abzgram bei C / O Berlin.
