The EK-Quantum Vector RX 6800/6900 GPU cooler, has been further developed based on the 2nd generation Vector series and is compatible with most reference designs of RX 6800, RX 6800XT and RX 6900 graphics cards. The Vector RE water block directly cools the GPU, the VRAM and the VRM (voltage regulation module), as the cooling fluid is routed directly over these critical areas. The base of the block is made of nickel-plated copper, while the top is made of acrylic. Furthermore, the cooler has D-RGB lighting, with a total of 6 individually addressable LEDs, which makes the interior shine pleasantly. EK-Quantum Vector TUF RX 6800/6900 is a 2nd generation Vector GPU water block from the EK® Quantum Line. It is made for ASUS TUF RX 6800, 6800XT, 6900XT graphics cards based on the latest AMD® RDNA2™ architecture. EK-Quantum Vector TUF RX 6800/6900 water block for ASUS TUF GAMING RX 6800 and 6900 GPUs EK-Quantum Vector RX 6800/6900 water block is compatible with ASUS TUF GAMING Radeon RX 6800, RX 6800XT, and 6900XT graphics cards. The Vector water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM, and the VRM (voltage regulation module) as a cooling liquid is channeled right over these critical areas. The water block is in contact with power stages as well as Inductor chokes to maximize cooling and minimize the chances of coil whine. These newly developed water blocks feature optimized flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. The EK-Quantum Vector Series water blocks use an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings, and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation. The base of the block is CNC-machined out of high-grade nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while its top is CNC-machined out of glass-like cast Acrylic. These 2nd generation Vector GPU water blocks also feature acetal terminals. The watertight sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-rings, while brass standoffs are already pre-installed and allow for a safe and easy installation procedure. D-RGB lighting on EK-Quantum TUF Vector RX 6800/6900 D-RGB water block The aesthetic end-piece is housing the addressable D-RGB LED strip. These water blocks boast a total of 9 individually addressable RGB LEDs, and a LED-lit terminal. They are compatible with popular RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector is to be aligned with the +5V marking on the D-RGB (addressable) header. Backplate for the TUF 6800/6900 water block EK recommends the purchase of a retention backplate, which improves the overall aesthetics of your graphics cards, and also provides additional passive cooling for the GPU core and backside of the printed circuit board VRM and VRAM sections. During the development of the EIsblock Aurora GPX-A RX 6800 Nitro+ graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All important components such as the voltage transformers and the memory are now significantly better and more effectively cooled by the water. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. New Design! The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A RX 6800 Nitro+ cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. The addressable digital RGB LEDs are embedded directly into the cooling block and run along the entire cooling block. The effect is an illumination of the entire cooling block. No corner or edge remains unlit by the aRGB LEDs. The new design is more angular with all edges bevelled. This promotes better light diffusion in the water cooler due to the reflections on these bevels. In addition, they create various contours, which give the Aurora GPX-A RX 6800 Nitro+ Eisblock cooler its very own unique identity. Copper or Aluminium? Of course, Alphacool only uses copper for its water coolers. With the Aurora GPX-A RX 6800 Nitro+ Eisblock, the copper is nickel-plated. Compared to its predecessor models, Alphacool has improved the nickel plating even further, which has considerably increased the acid resistance. This means that the nickel should resist flaking. Why does Alphacool rely on copper instead of aluminium? Simply, copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Is There Anything Else New? The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A RX 6800 Nitro+ also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. The Alphacool logo now sits in the corner on the top and is also fully illuminated. On the front of the terminal you can see the corresponding names of the compatible graphic card types. Of course, these are also fully illuminated by the digital LEDs. IN and OUT are now marked by small triangles. They are easily recognizable and fit perfectly into the entire aesthetics of the graphic card water cooler. The Alphacool Aurora GPX-A RX 6800 Nitro+ Acryl is a complete redevelopment of the previous Alphacool graphics card water coolers.
