During the development of the EIsblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All important components such as the voltage transformers and the memory are now significantly better and more effectively cooled by the water. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. New Design! The Eisblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. EK-Quantum Vector RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB water block is compatible with most reference designs (not Founders Edition) GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards. It is specially designed with a much thicker copper base to reduce the high capacitors of most reference design graphics cards. This gives the water block the advantage of a wider compatibility list without restricting the flow of coolant. EK water block for Nvidia 3080 and 3090 reference board The Vector water block directly cools the GPU, the VRAM and the VRM (voltage control module), as a cooling liquid is passed directly over these critical areas. The water block is in contact with MOSFETs and chokes to maximise cooling and minimise the risk of coil howl. These newly developed water blocks have optimised flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and turbulence (dead spots) inside them. In addition, this new design allows the connector to be screwed directly onto the copper cold plate of the GPU block, making it stiffer and reducing the risk of damage to the water block. The EK-Quantum Vector series water blocks use an open split-flow cooling motor design that has proven to be the superior solution for GPU water blocks.
