A flat end chamber also allows for more free space in the installation, since it shortens the total length.Freedom in the installation is one of the central points on which Alphacool's development department focused. The inlet and outlet on the channel head have 3 options each for attaching a connection (not on the NexXxos ST30). Fewer angles are needed, which increases the flow rate and offers more options in the installation. That means this radiator can even be installed in cases where an internal installation would otherwise not be possible. A 1/4 inch ventilation screw allows for easy ventilation of the radiator (on all NexXxos UT60 and NexXxos Monsta radiators) and problem-free vertical installation for the heat exchanger. It is that simple.NexXxoS Radiator FoundationThe Alphacool NexXxoS are amongst the best-known radiators worldwide. Alphacool relies exclusively on copper for all components that encounter the coolant. The end chambers, the water channels and the cooling fins are made of copper. Only the ports are made of brass due to the higher strength of the thread. The fin density is 16 FPI, so the radiator can also work very well with slow rotating fans, while a higher fin density would mean a higher resistance and would need higher RPM. In addition, all fins have so -called "flaps" which provide for a higher air turbulence, which in turn increases the cooling capacity of the radiators.TPV TubingAll new AIO systems from Alphacool use TPV hoses. This is more resistant and kink-proof than all standard PVC hoses. TPV hoses tolerate working temperatures from -50 to +155° C and are therefore mainly used for industrial use. TPV hoses also do not contain any plasticizers that will flush out of the hoses over time. This can make PVC hoses hard and porous. They also change their colour to a cloudy yellow. Of course, this cannot happen with the black TPV hoses. Alphacool Enterprise Solutions only uses TPV hoses due to their peculiarities for server and workstation customers.Quick Release FastenersFor easy connection to the AIO systems, the set is equipped with the corresponding quick release fasteners. One side has a male and the other a female connector which are compatible to all Alphacool AIO systems. The safety quick-release fasteners are not simply plugged together but screwed directly together. This prevents the quick release fastener from opening unintentionally. Only 1-2 drops of water are lost when opening the quick release fastener.FittingsThe TPV fittings, like the TPV hose, also come from the Alphacool Enterprise Solution series and offer extremely high tensile strength. Thanks to the integrated locking ring, the tensile strength is over 15 kg. The tensile strength of normal connections does not even reach half of this value in most cases.Extending the AIO?All AIO systems from Alphacool can be expanded. Thanks to powerful pumps, at least one extension can be connected to each AIO. Whether it is a graphics card cooler on a CPU AIO or another radiator on a GPU AIO, there are various possible combinations. The prefilled radiators offer an easy way to expand the cooling capacity of your own Alphacool AIO system. All you need to do is mount the radiator at the desired position in the case and connect it to the corresponding AIO using the quick release fasteners. No liquid needs to be topped up when you are using the quick disconnects as only one or two small drips will escape. If you do this many times, obviously a top up would be suggested. But what is new? The HPE variant has additional cooling channels and a very high fin density. If the radiator is equipped with fans on both sides in push/pull operation, it is possible to achieve a significant temperature reduction compared to standard radiators.X-Flow instead of U-FlowThe water flow in classic PC radiators is U-shaped. This means that the water inlet and outlet are on the same side on the radiator. This has certain advantages in the normal PC, however, it is difficult to set up a reasonable cooling loop like this in an extremely flat server. Due to the X-Flow technology, the input and output are located on the opposite sides. This makes it very easy to create a loop in the server rack. For example, you could go out from one side, directly into a CPU, then into one or more graphics cards and the pump, then back to the radiator on the other side.Powerful cooling performanceTo maximise the performance of the radiator, Alphacool reaches deep into its bag of tricks and uses pure copper for the cooling fins, cooling channels and pre-chambers. Due to the high thermal conductivity of 400 W/mK (in comparison: aluminium 236 W/mK). The high fin density of the radiator with a fin spacing of 15 FPI enables an optimal flow of air. All cooling fins are additionally equipped with small flaps. These are tiny wings that direct the airflow in the desired direction and ensure controlled air turbulence. This increases the cooling capacity and minimises the possible noise created by airflow.Connection options & mountingThe NexXxoS HPE radiators each have three IN or OUT connections with G1/4" threads. All screws for mounting in the case and for mounting the fans are included with the radiator. Additional screws are not usually required.Safety firstThe NexXxoS HPE radiator has special protective plates placed under all mounting holes to prevent the screws from being screwed in too deeply. This protects the cooling fins and water channels underneath from damage.Patented screw plugsAll NexXxoS HPE X-Flow radiators use Alphacool's patented stop fittings. Anyone who has mounted a radiator on the front or in the roof of a case is familiar with the fact that protruding stop fittings can stop the radiator from sitting flush. The cooling performance increased greatly with increased fan speed.
