Es handelt sich bei dem Produkt um die neue Revision. Diese Pumpe ist weltweit die erste Pumpe, die in serienmäßig produzierten wassergekühlten Workstations eingesetzt wird, und ist ideal für die Wasserkühlung von Prozessoren und elektronischen Bauteilen geeignet. Aufgrund ihrer Baugröße und Leistung kann die darüber hinaus in einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen eingesetzt werden. Diese DC-Pumpe ist eine elektronisch kommutierte Kugelmotorpumpe, mit Laufzeiten von deutlich über 50.000 Stunden bei 12 Volt. Das einzig bewegliche Teil an einer Kugelmotorpumpe ist eine sphärisch geformte Rotor-/Laufradeinheit, die sich auf einer ultraharten, verschleißfesten Keramik-Lagerkugel abstützt. Eine konventionelle Welle mit Wellenlagern und Wellendichtungen ist nicht vorhanden. Die sphärische Lagerung der Rotor-/Laufradeinheit auf der Keramik-Lagerkugel bietet eine Vielzahl von Vorteilen: Ein Entstehen von Lagerspiel - und damit eine Geräuschzunahme - ist prinzipbedingt nicht möglich. Die Pumpe bleibt damit über die gesamte Laufzeit geräuscharm. Das Lager ist selbstnachstellend. Es wird vom Fördermedium direkt geschmiert (Nassläuferpumpe). Eine Wartung entfällt damit. Da der Rotor magnetisch immer in der vorgesehenen Lage gehalten wird, stellen kleinere Schmutzteilchen kein Problem dar. Ein Blockieren der Pumpe ist im Normalfall nicht möglich. Auch nach längerem Stillstand ist ein sicherer Anlauf gegeben. Angetrieben wird die permanentmagnetische Rotor-/ Laufradeinheit von einem Magnetfeld, das vom umliegenden Stator erzeugt wird. Dieser ist komplett um den Rotor herumgebaut. Die komplette Pumpe ist damit mit 38 mm nur wenig höher als der Stator selbst.
