As the only manufacturer worldwide, Alphacool is uncompromising in its choice of materials and uses only copper for all water-carrying components in the radiator. The chambers, cooling fins, and cooling channels are made of pure copper. Only the connection threads (made of brass) and the outer housing of the radiator (made of sheet steel) are made from other materials.The HPE radiators are based on the NexXxoS series. But what’s new? The HPE version features additional cooling channels and a very high fin density. Due to its technical design, cooling performance is significantly increased without restricting water flow within the radiator. When fans are mounted on both sides in push/pull configuration, a noticeable drop in water temperature can be achieved compared to standard radiators.The Radiators are designed specifically for industrial and server environments. Thanks to thicker cooling channels and reinforced welds, they are built to withstand operating pressures of up to 5 Bar, ensuring maximum reliability in demanding industrial use.In traditional PC radiators, water flows in a U-shape, meaning the inlet and outlet are on the same side. This has certain advantages in typical PC setups. However, creating a proper water loop in an extremely flat server is difficult this way. Thanks to X-Flow technology, the inlet and outlet are on opposite sides. This makes it easy to implement a circular water flow in a server rack: exiting one side directly into a CPU, possibly then through one or more graphics cards, and returning on the other side to the radiator.To maximize the radiator’s performance, Alphacool uses pure copper for the cooling fins, cooling channels, and chambers due to its high thermal conductivity of 400 W/mK (by comparison: aluminum has 236 W/mK). The radiator’s high fin density with a spacing of 15 FPI allows for optimal airflow. All cooling fins are also equipped with small flaps—tiny wings that guide the airflow in the desired direction and create controlled turbulence. This increases cooling performance and reduces potential flow noise.In the area of the pre-chambers, each side features three IN or OUT ports with G1/4" threads. All screws required for mounting the radiator in a case and for attaching the fans are included. Additional screws are usually not necessary.A special protective feature ensures that fan or mounting screws cannot be driven in too deeply. Protective plates have been placed beneath all mounting holes to prevent over-tightening. This protects the cooling fins and water channels underneath from damage.All NexXxoS HPE X-Flow radiators use Alphacool's patented sealing plugs. Anyone who has ever mounted a radiator to the front or top of a case knows that protruding sealing plugs can prevent the radiator from sitting flush. With Alphacool’s patented sealing plugs, this issue is solved. The sealing plugs are completely recessed and sit flush with the surface of the radiator. This ensures a clean installation. The aqualis DDC 150 ml reservoir from aqua computer is designed for direct mounting to a Laing DDC pump not included in the delivery. For this purpose, the pump is attached only by means of a fastening ring and four screws in the base of the expansion tank. Separately available mounting rubbers can also be screwed into the base of the AGBs to allow mounting on the PC case. Alternatively, the pump and expansion tank can also be attached via the mounting tabs of the pump in the PC case. The container itself is made of high-grade borosilicate glass, which, in contrast to the acrylic glass often used for tube expansion tanks, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, a very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube of this 150 ml variant has an outside diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid, however, are made of Delrin, each have two G1 / 4-inch ports and are connected inside the tube by a stainless steel rod. With the Alphacool Eisbaer LT, you get a high-performance compact water cooling system that’s barely inferior to its bigger brother, the Eisbaer AIO. Just like the Eisbaer, the Eisbaer LT distinguishes itself from the usual AIO mix in that Alphacool relied on normal custom components as much as possible during development. This allows the Eisbaer LT to be expanded on not just with the Eisbaer Ready quick connectors but also with connectors using standard G1/4” threads. These can be replaced with other models at any time. Another highlight is the new 25mm thin Slim Radiator, made entirely of copper. Since copper has twice the heat capacity of aluminium, optimal cooling is guaranteed. Cooler and pump The cooler bottom is made entirely of copper and has an ultra-fine cross slot structure. Thanks to those cross slots and a sophisticated nozzle system, heat is absorbed extremely fast and transferred away from the CPU. The built-in DC-LT Ultra Ceramic Low Noise pump is an extremely quiet pump that Alphacool has used in many products. The pump is much stronger than what you’d usually find in AIOs. It can also be throttled with the optional 7V adaptor, decreasing the already low noise generation even further. The pump casing is very flat and the aluminium cap gives it a clean, elegant look. Fittings Alphacool relies on the standard DIY fittings you’d find in any standard water cooling system. Components are made entirely of high-quality brass and use a G1/4” thread. This means fittings can be exchanged easily, just like in a standard system. Maybe you want different tubing or want to switch over to HardTubes – your options are wide open. Quick connectors The Eisbaer LT’s quick connectors make it compatible with all other Eisbaer Ready products, like the Eiswolf GPX-Pro cooler or the Eiswand external radiator. Both products use the same pump – perfect for quickly and easily expanding the cooling loop. Alternatively, you can use the Extension Set or Alphacool HF Quick Connectors (available separately) to integrate other components into the system. Tubing The compact but standard 11/8mm tubing size was Alphacool’s go-to here. The tubing uses anti-kink springs in order to prevent kinks in the tubing. This makes it easy to lay tubing even in tight spaces, meaning the Eisbaer LT is easy to install even in compact cases. Radiator Alphacool has integrated a brand-new 25mm-thin Ultra-Slim Radiator. Unlike most AIO systems, Alphacool’s radiator is not made of cheap aluminium, but rather high-quality copper. With twice the heat capacity, copper significantly increases the radiator’s cooling performance. This is especially noticeable when you reach the performance limits of a radiator. While temperatures in aluminium radiators progressively rise fairly early, copper radiators can keep the temperature stable for much longer. Fans The Eiswind fans were specially designed for use in radiators and provide very high static pressure to force cool air through the radiator’s cooling fins. Both fans can be regulated via PWM over an enormous range of 550 to 1700 RPM. A PWM Y-adapter is included with the Eisbaer LT, so both fans can be connected to a PWM connection on your motherboard or a separate fan controller. At first glance, the Eisbaer LT looks like a typical CPU AIO solution, but a closer look elevates the Eisbaer LT far above the competition. Thanks to its copper radiator and cooling block, its cooling power is enormous, and the quick connectors and custom water cooling components make it easy to expand on.
