This perfectly describes the Aurora Acryl GPX Eisblock More Performance! During the development of the EIsblock Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All important components such as the voltage transformers and the memory are now significantly better and more effectively cooled by the water. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. New Design! The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. Why does Alphacool rely on copper instead of aluminium? Simply, copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Is There Anything Else New? The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. During the development of the EIsblock Aurora GPX-A 6800XT/6900XT graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. Why does Alphacool rely on copper instead of aluminium? Simply, copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Is There Anything Else New? The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A 6800XT/6900XT also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. The Alphacool Eisblock XPX 1U is the Enterprise Solutions version of the well-known and popular Eisblock XPX CPU water cooler. It has been specially optimized for use in 1U server racks and has extended connection options. This allows for more connection options in the very tight 1U server racks and integrate it easily into a cooling loop. Many Connection Options Thanks to its extremely flat design, the Eisblock XPX 1U fits into any 1U server case. Due to the flat design of a 1U server rack, no inlets or outlets can be used on top of the CPU cooler as the total height of the CPU cooler including the fittings would no longer fit. Therefore, the Eisblock XPX 1U has further connection possibilities on the side of the cooler. There are altogether 3 x IN and 4 x OUT, with 2 x In and 3 x OUT mounted on the side. Straight fittings up to a size of 13/10 mm can be connected at the side. The Alphacool TPV connectors, which were specially developed for the Enterprise Solutions series, are ideal. Larger fittings can be used, but only in specific circumstances with angled adapters. The fittings on top of the CPU cooler can of course be used as usual with all connections up to a size of 16 mm outside diameter, no matter whether for soft tube or HardTubes. High Performance The Eisblock XPX has been called the most powerful CPU water cooler by many independent media. This also applies to the Eisblock XPX 1U as it contains the same technology. The only slight change is to the patented ramp system for optimal waterflow. This has been adapted to allow the new lateral connections. The base plate offers 81 cooling fins covering an area of 34 x 32 mm. The fins are only 0.2 mm thick. This allows for the largest possible area for heat dissipation through the water. Simple Assembly The backplate is attached to the mainboard from behind. Then the mounting frame and the mounting screws (which can be pre-assembled seperately) are attached directly on the CPU block. Then it is a simple job of screwing the CPU block and mounting frame to the backplate. Mounting material for all mainstream sockets from AMD and Intel is included. We do not include the mounting materials for some Intel Xeon sockets and the AMD Threadripper as we recommend the Eisblock XPX Pro series for these. The components used are all from Alphacool’s classic custom water cooling sector and can also be found in its enterprise products for servers. The Eisbaer LT Aurora can be expanded with additional components thanks to the quick-release fastener. At its heart, the DC-LT 2 pump The exceedingly small and compact DC-LT 2 pump has been further optimized compared to its predecessor. The impeller sits suspended on a ceramic axle and is supported by two magnets. A 3-phase sinusoidal drive ensures a much smoother running of the pump, which significantly contributes to minimizing noise. The pump offers enough power to add another component, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator, to the loop. Ideally, it is coupled with an Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO water cooler. This also uses a DC-LT 2 pump. DIY fittings and ES tubing The tubing and fittings come from the standard custom cooling segment and all use a standard G1/4" thread. Therefore, it is extremely easy to replace them. The black TPV hose comes, like the connectors, from the Alphacool ES series which is primarily installed in servers and workstations. The hose does not contain any plasticizers and, unlike classic PVC hoses, does not deform at high temperatures. The quick connector is not made of heavy brass, but of extremely light, durable and, robust nylon. The quick connector is compatible with many other models from the Alphacool product line. The Alphacool XPX Eisblock is the newest generation in the CPU watercooling field and offers not only outstanding cooling performance but also many ways to customize your cooler. The mounting bracket, the aluminium cap, and even the logo can all be switched out for different colour variants. The XPX cooler’s performance has gotten a major upgrade compared to its predecessor, the NexXxoS XP3. This was only possible because Alphacool completely re-developed the Eisblock XPX cooler from the ground up. For one, the fin structure was refined to 0.2mm and the fin count raised to 81 fins. This makes for a much larger cooling surface through which water can flow. In order to ensure the water is evenly distributed over the cooling fins, Alphacool developed and patented the “Ramp”. It ensures there is no turbulence in the water flow over cooling fins, which would lead to uneven water distribution over the cooling fins. The Eisbaer LT Aurora CPU AIO water cooler offers extremely good cooling performance due to the high-end components, which includes a full copper radiator. The components used are all from Alphacool’s classic custom water cooling sector and can also be found in its enterprise products for servers. The Eisbaer LT Aurora can be expanded with additional components thanks to the quick-release fastener. At its heart, the DC-LT 2 pump The exceedingly small and compact DC-LT 2 pump has been further optimized compared to its predecessor. The impeller sits suspended on a ceramic axle and is supported by two magnets. A 3-phase sinusoidal drive ensures a much smoother running of the pump, which significantly contributes to minimizing noise. The pump offers enough power to add another component, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator, to the loop. Ideally, it is coupled with an Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO water cooler. This also uses a DC-LT 2 pump. DIY fittings and ES tubing The tubing and fittings come from the standard custom cooling segment and all use a standard G1/4" thread. Therefore, it is extremely easy to replace them. The black TPV hose comes, like the connectors, from the Alphacool ES series which is primarily installed in servers and workstations. The hose does not contain any plasticizers and, unlike classic PVC hoses, does not deform at high temperatures. The quick connector is not made of heavy brass, but of extremely light, durable and, robust nylon. The quick connector is compatible with many other models from the Alphacool product line. With the Alphacool Eisbaer LT, you get a high-performance compact water cooling system that’s barely inferior to its bigger brother, the Eisbaer AIO. Just like the Eisbaer, the Eisbaer LT distinguishes itself from the usual AIO mix in that Alphacool relied on normal custom components as much as possible during development. This allows the Eisbaer LT to be expanded on not just with the Eisbaer Ready quick connectors but also with connectors using standard G1/4” threads. These can be replaced with other models at any time. Another highlight is the new 25mm thin Slim Radiator, made entirely of copper. Since copper has twice the heat capacity of aluminium, optimal cooling is guaranteed. Cooler and pump The cooler bottom is made entirely of copper and has an ultra-fine cross slot structure. Thanks to those cross slots and a sophisticated nozzle system, heat is absorbed extremely fast and transferred away from the CPU. The built-in DC-LT 2 Ceramic pump is an extremely quiet pump that Alphacool has used in many products. The pump is much stronger than what you’d usually find in AIOs. It can also be throttled with the optional 7V adaptor, decreasing the already low noise generation even further. The pump casing is very flat and the aluminium cap gives it a clean, elegant look. Fittings Alphacool relies on the standard DIY fittings you’d find in any standard water cooling system. Components are made entirely of high-quality brass and use a G1/4” thread. This means fittings can be exchanged easily, just like in a standard system. Maybe you want different tubing or want to switch over to HardTubes – your options are wide open. Unlike most AIO systems, Alphacool’s radiator is not made of cheap aluminium, but rather high-quality copper. With the Alphacool XPX Aurora Pro Eisblock, Alphacool offers a CPU water cooler specially designed for processors with particularly large processor cores. These currently include the AMD Threadripper models and processors from Intel for the LGA 2066 socket and the LGA 3647 server socket in narrow ILM design. As a CPU cooler from the Aurora Design line, the CPU cooler naturally offers integrated digital aRGB lighting. Extremely powerful The cooler base has been specially optimized for the large processor cores. With an area of 42 x 58.6 mm and 147 cooling fins the cooling area has been significantly increased. As a comparison, an Alphacool XPX Aurora Eisblock has 81 cooling fins to completely cover the processor core of a normal CPU. Both coolers use the same fin type with a thickness of only 0.2 mm. This clearly shows how far Alphacool has gone to offer the best possible performance. The entire cooler base is of course made of nickel-plated copper and not aluminium. This is due to the increased thermal conductivity of copper. It is almost twice as high as that of aluminium. How is the CPU cooler illuminated? As with all new Eisblock CPU water coolers, Alphacool relies on an integrated aRGB solution. An aluminium frame is flush with the CPU cooler. Of course, the aluminium does not come into contact with the water. The LED frame contains up to 14 addressable digital RGB LEDs. This is more than enough to illuminate the entire cooler even and brightly. The intensity of the illumination can of course be controlled by an appropriate controller. Due to the use of digital RGB LEDs, all known effects can be created, because each LED can be controlled separately with the right controller. The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Pro cooler can also be connected and controlled via the 3-pin 5V connector on any compatible mainboard. The cable also has an integrated Y-adapter. This makes it easy to connect further Alphacool Aurora products in series without having to order separate Y-adapters. Only additional extension cables may be needed if you want to connect the products in series. Is the assembly difficult? Installation is child's play. Remove the protective film from the base of the cooler, apply some of the enclosed thermal paste to the CPU and then attach the cooler to the board. Depending on the base, the mounting screws are either screwed on before or after mounting. No tools are necessary for the assembly. Alphacool uses knurled screws, which allow a quick and easy assembly. Finally Acryl! The Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Pro is the technical brother of the Eisblock XPX Pro 1U cooler, which was developed especially for the use in server housings. During the development the functionality had a much higher priority than the design, which was kept practical and discreet. The Eisblock XPX Aurora Pro has been optically adapted to the Aurora products and now offers the same design features as you are used to from the Aurora series.
