The Moon has the distinction of being the most often viewed celestial object through backyard telescopes. It is undoubtedly beautiful and mysterious, and is one of those constants in our lives that connects us to every other being on our planet. Regardless of who we are or where we live or travel, we all look at the same moon. It is difficult to look at the Moon through a telescope and see all of the details due to its brightness. Our eyes are not ready for the bright beam of light that emits from the eyepiece, and they “stop down”, just as they would when you step out into the sunlight on a bright summer’s day. When we’re in the sunlight, we often wear sunglasses. They help us relax our eyes, protect us from glare, and help us see things more clearly. When amateur astronomers observe the Moon, we use a moon filter. A Celestron Moon Filter provides similar benefits to those of sunglasses...our eye relaxes and opens up to let us see more detail. This is especially important when observing the Moon when it is near full. The Celestron Moon Filter simply screws onto the insert barrel of most 1.25” eyepieces. It only takes a second or two to transform your regular eyepiece into one suited for lunar observations. A Moon Filter is also helpful when observing Venus or bright terrestrial scenes. This filter is not suitable for viewing the Sun.

The BRESSER Messier 6 inch Planetary Dobson is something very special. Despite its low price, it offers a variety of functions and quality, which you sometimes look for in the considerably more expensive devices in vain. With an aperture diameter of 150 mm and a focal length of 1200 mm of this high quality BRESSER newtonian optics, the observation of the moon, the planets and planetary nebulae is particularly well possible.  Craters and grooves of the moon as well as the fast changing shadows cast by the so-called terminator line are exciting observation targets. Saturn with its impressive ring, Jupiter with its bands of clouds and the movement of its easily visible moons, the crescent shape of Venus and the glowing red Mars are good examples of what this telescope can be used for. Because of the long basic focal length you can easily achieve the high magnifications required for this purpose with this telescope. You do not need expensive special eyepieces. In short, this is a telescope primarily for detailed observation. The new Sky-Watcher 90° Polar Scope Eyepiece now makes polar aligning your mount so much easier! The eyepiece sleeve securely clamps over the standard polar scope eyepiece using three non-marring, plastic-tipped, knurled metal thumbscrews. This is far superior method of clamping compared to similar looking products on the market that use only one clamping screw and more reliable than those using a brass compression ring, which can be problematic. The internal diameter of the eyepiece clamping sleeve is 30.1mm. For optimum positioning, the eyepiece can rotate 360º around its axis in click-stops. The eyepiece can be switched between 1x and 2x magnifications. For viewing comfort, the eyepiece is fitted with a soft fold-down rubber eyecup. APM Barlow 2" This is the 2" counterpart of our famed 1.25", 2x/1.5x Barlow lens. It is well made both in design and craftmanship. Both lenses are fully multicoated for best-possible contrast and transmission. The lenses have a diameter of 37mm, thus you can even use 2" wide angle eyepieces without vignetting.   Further uses: With a 2" extension tube - 50mm - you will attain a magnification of 2.7x compared to an eyepiece without the Barlow lens. That way you turn a 30mm wide angle eyepiece into an 11mm wide angle eyepiece with comfortable eye relief.   Remove the black anodized lens cell from the Barlow lens and screw it directly into your eyepiece to attain a magnification of 1.5x.

The BRESSER Telescope Camera Adapter is the connecting piece between your 35 mm DSLR camera and the telescope. The connection to your camera can be achieved with the fitting T2-mount (T2-mount optional).
