The tempered glass on the front and side puts your high-end build in the spotlight—ready to receive true admiration. With the LUCA L70, you’re perfectly equipped to assemble your gaming PC exactly as you wish. This midi-tower offers more than enough space to keep your hardware cool, and is also extremely easy to take apart and put back together. Building your high-end setup has never been so easy! Comprehensive cooling options for your new build When building your own PC, cooling is one of the most important factors to consider. The LUCA L70 allows the installation of up to nine fans: two 120 mm or 140 mm fans on the top, three 120 mm or 140 mm fans on the side, three 120 mm or 140 mm fans on the bottom, and one 120 mm fan at the rear. Note that with this combination, the power supply unit must be mounted on the top of the case. If you prefer mounting the PSU on the bottom, three fans can be installed on the top and only one on the bottom. Water cooling enthusiasts will also not be disappointed: radiators up to 420 mm can be installed in several locations. If the power supply is on the top, only a 240 mm radiator is possible there and a maximum 360 mm radiator on the bottom. If you mount the PSU at the bottom, there is room for a 420 mm radiator on the top as well as on the side. To prevent unnecessary dust buildup inside the case, there are dust filters on the top and bottom. This ensures a much longer lifespan for your hardware and saves you time and annoying cleaning. Thanks to the many options for installing fans and radiators, effective cooling is ensured so your high-end hardware always performs at its peak. In addition, the tower stands 4 mm above the ground on X-shaped legs, which further improves airflow. Case for powerful hardware So you can play even the most demanding games smoothly at high settings, the LUCA L70 accommodates a high-performance graphics card up to 460 mm in length. An included GPU bracket ensures it’s not subject to gravity. Vertical GPU installation is also possible—appropriate accessories must be purchased separately. The midi-tower is compatible with motherboards up to E-ATX with a width of up to 280 mm. To avoid cable clutter, it also supports motherboards with back-facing connectors when the PSU is on top, but only in ATX or micro-ATX format. The CPU height must not exceed 170 mm, and the power supply should be no longer than 190 mm. For plenty of storage for your programs and games, you can attach up to nine 2.5-inch drives to the side of the LUCA L70. Tool-free assembly and disassembly To make installing and swapping hardware as easy as possible, the LUCA L70 is fully modular. The front, side, and other parts can be taken apart and reassembled without any additional tools, plus the motherboard tray can be moved so you can install the motherboard, CPU, and CPU cooler independently.

Unfinished Tales is a collection of narratives ranging in time from the Elder Days of Middle-earth to the end of the War of the Ring, and provides those who have read The Lord of the Rings with a whole collection of background and new stories from the twentieth century's most acclaimed popular author. The book concentrates on the realm of Middle-earth and comprises such elements as Gandalf's lively account of how it was that he came to send the Dwarves to the celebrated party at Bag-End, the emergence of the sea-god Ulmo before the eyes of Tuor on the coast of Beleriand, and an exact description of the military organization of the Riders of Rohan. Unfinished Tales also contains the only story about the long ages of Numenor before its downfall, and all that is known about such matters as the Five Wizards, the Palantiri and the legend of Amroth. The tales were collated and edited by JRR Tolkien's son and literary heir, Christopher Tolkien, who provides a short commentary on each story, helping the reader to fill in the gaps and put each story into the context of the rest of his father's writings.
If in this book harsh words are spoken about some of the greatest among the intellectual leaders of mankind, my motive is not, I hope, to belittle them. It springs rather from my conviction that, if our civilization is to survive, we must break with the habit of deference to great men. - Karl Popper, from the Preface Written in political exile during the Second World War and first published in two volumes in 1945, Karl Poppers The Open Society and Its Enemies is one of the most influential books of all time. Hailed by Bertrand Russell as a vigorous and profound defence of democracy, its now legendary attack on the philosophies of Plato, Hegel and Marx exposed the dangers inherent in centrally planned political systems and through underground editions become an inspiration to lovers of freedom living under communism in Eastern Europe. Poppers highly accessible style, his erudite and lucid explanations of the thoughts of great philosophers and the recent resurgence of totalitarian regimes around the world are just three of the reasons for the enduring popularity of The Open Society and Its Enemies and why it demands to be read today and in years to come.
Just making a decision can be hard enough, but how do you begin to judge whether it's the right one? Chip and Dan Heath, authors of number 1 New York Times best-seller Switch, show you how to overcome your brain's natural shortcomings. In Decisive, Chip and Dan Heath draw on decades of psychological research to explain why we so often get it very badly wrong - why our supposedly rational brains are frequently tripped up by powerful biases and wishful thinking. At the same time they demonstrate how relatively easy it is to avoid the pitfalls and find the best answers, offering four simple principles that we can all learn and follow. In the process, they show why it is that experts frequently make mistakes. They demonstrate the perils of getting trapped in a narrow decision frame. And they explore people's tendency to be over-confident about how their choices will unfold. Drawing on case studies as diverse as the downfall of Kodak and the inspiring account of a cancer survivor, they offer both a fascinating tour through the workings of our minds and an invaluable guide to making smarter decisions. It is the winner in the Practical Manager category of the CMI Management Book of the Year awards 2014.
In previous books respected New York pastor and bestselling author Timothy Keller has looked at such diverse and topical subjects as the existence of God, our need to do justice, the meaning of Jesus' life, and the human temptation to make idols - all through the twin lenses of a biblical framework and an engagement with contemporary culture. In this new book, co-authored with his wife, Kathy, he turns his attention to that most complex of matters: our need for love, and its expression in marriage. Beginning with the biblical narrative, and its pictures of marriage that span the original ideal to the broken to the redemptive, he looks at themes of friendship and commitment; the completion of men and women in each other; singleness, sex and divorce; and ministry and discipleship within the context of marriage. This is a profound and engaging work that will challenge and inspire people in all stages of life - single, newlywed and married.
Aleksandar Hemon grew up in a blissful Sarajevo, where his childhood was consumed by football, his adolescence by friends, movies and girls and where, as a young man, he poked at the pretensions of his beloved city with American music, bad poetry, and slightly better journalism. And then at twenty-seven Hemon flew to Chicago for a month-long visit. A matter of weeks later Sarajevo was engulfed in an atrocious war and Hemon found himself an exile - he wouldn't return home for five years, and when he did, he found his city irrevocably changed.

The Anglo-Saxon period, stretching from the fifth to the late eleventh century, begins with the Roman retreat from the Western world and ends with the Norman takeover of England. Between these epochal events, many of the contours and patterns of English life that would endure for the next millennium were shaped. In this authoritative work, N. J. Higham and M. J. Ryan reexamine Anglo-Saxon England in the light of new research in disciplines as wide ranging as historical genetics, paleobotany, archaeology, literary studies, art history, and numismatics. The result is the definitive introduction to the Anglo-Saxon world, enhanced with a rich array of photographs, maps, genealogies, and other illustrations. The Anglo-Saxon period witnessed the birth of the English people, the establishment of Christianity, and the development of the English language. With an extraordinary cast of characters (Alfred the Great, the Venerable Bede, King Cnut), a long list of artistic and cultural achievements (Beowulf, the Sutton Hoo ship-burial finds, the Bayeux Tapestry), and multiple dramatic events (the Viking invasions, the Battle of Hastings), the Anglo-Saxon era lays legitimate claim to having been one of the most important in Western history.

When the gods were destroyed and all worship of them banned by the Polis, reality folded; now stairs lead to nowhere, alleyways have become portals to the past, and criminals disappear into thin air. The murder of Dr Efrem Pangyui, the Polis diplomat researching the Continent's past, has begun something and now whispers of an uprising flutter out from invisible corners. Only one woman may be willing to pursue the truth - but it is likely to cost her everything.
