This study introduces a new volume devoted to Bavarian military uniforms from 1722 to 1895, with particular emphasis on the nineteenth century. This edition-published in English for the first time-features an extensive and carefully curated series of high-quality color plates dedicated to the study of uniformology. Drawn from four distinct original sources, the volume comprises approximately 88 color plates, each reproduced in full color and accompanied by the original German descriptive texts. Together, these materials provide a valuable visual and documentary resource for historians, collectors, and scholars of European military dress.

The Italian occupation of Albania, which took place in April 1939, is a subject little covered in most texts pertaining to the history of our armed forces and is often mentioned in a few lines or described as an action of little importance and without difficulty. In reality, the invasion of the Kingdom of Albania was a wake-up call and showed all the inefficiency of the Italian Royal Armed Forces in a modern war as the Second World War would later be, which saw the Kingdom of Italy suffer defeat after defeat. What was supposed to be a 'walk in the park' cost the blood of Italian soldiers and sailors, especially in the area of Durres, and only the weakness of the military apparatus of the small Balkan state would not make the Italians pay dearly for the poor organization of the operation and logistical problems. The book, after a description of pre-1939 events, will focus on the stages of the invasion and then move on to a description of the integration of the Albanian armed forces into those of Italy.

The actions of German armored forces during World War II are well known. What has not yet been recounted as accurately are the actions of the armored forces of Germany's Allies. While it is true that their performance was generally quite secondary to what the forces of the German Reich were able to afford, the actions of the Hungarian armored forces, which not only managed to organize their own armored forces in substantial autonomy, but also developed their own military industry capable of supplying weapons and equipment to their troops, should be emphasized. This book will thus reveal a little-known page of Hungary's participation in World War II through the use of superb photographs provided by the author and his contributors. This story will take the reader from the beginning of the USSR campaign and consequent conquest of large Soviet territories, and then end with the bloody battles to prevent the advance of the Soviet and Romanian counteroffensive in Hungary (the siege of Budapest) and the last battles in Austrian and Slovenian territory before the unconditional surrender of the army. The author highlights the courage of these men and the terrible fate that would befall the Hungarian armored forces when the Soviet army invaded Hungary.
