This book presents the work of Ceija Stojka (1933 2013), an Austrian Romni writer, painter, activist, and musician, and survivor of the Holocaust. Beginning in the 1980s, Stojka created over a thousand drawings and paintings, whose subjects range from landscapes and recollections of her happy, prewar existence as part of a large horse-trading family to the mounting oppression of the Roma under the Nazi regime. Having survived the three concentration camps Ravensbrück, Bergen-Belsen and Auschwitz as a child, Stojka left behind an oeuvre depicting her personal experience of arrests, exterminations, survival, and liberation, which was shared by millions. This book serves as an extension of the comprehensive Ceija Stojka exhibition that is hosted by the Austrian Cultural Forum New York between May and September 2023. In August 1939, a ship flying the Polish flag docked in Buenos Aires. On board was a delegation of businessmen, diplomats and journalists. Days later, the captain received orders to return home with all crew and passengers in light of the imminent outbreak of the Second World War. But one man, fascinated by the city, chose to stay at the very last minute. Thus began the unexpected twenty-four-year Argentine exile of one of the twentieth centurys major writers: Witold Gombrowicz. Drawing on his writings and interviews with surviving disciples, writers and scholars, Mercedes Halfons Outsider Everywhere traces Gombrowiczs Argentine years in elegant, pared-back prose, and composes a vivid account of mid-century bohemia in Buenos Aires. Brilliantly translated by Rahul Bery, Mercedes Halfons Outsider Everywhere is a gripping portrait of a literary figure on the margins who rose to prominence late in life to become one of the greatest novelists of our century (Milan Kundera). The Living Soul is unique in that the title of the book and the invitation to write it unexpectedly emerged in meditation many years ago. Further, its insight and message all emerged from direct experience without exposure to spiritual traditions enhanced by well over a decade of global sharing. Unlike traditional paths the approach emphasises non-dual, experiential inner-standing rather than teaching. It provides a direct invitation for readers to experience truth, inner peace and universal wisdom through inquiry and meditations that also emerged from within. The calling is to empower for there is nothing to learn only to realise. Drawing on direct realisation and subsequent vast practical experience the book offers a distilled, distraction-free guide that goes directly to the heart of the matter. Core insights and principles are shared through simple metaphors, true stories and simple diagrams creating a compelling blend of universal wisdom and profound simplicity. Practical application to ones life is shared through actual Question and Answer dialogues empowering the reader to experience it directly in their own lives. Further guidance is provided in the integration of the message and The Living Soul App which was revealed in meditation as the books natural marriage partner. Autorid: Philip Wade
