With the ToughArmor MB720M2K-B, ICY DOCK introduces a four-bay hot-swap backplane for M.2 NVMe SSDs. This means M.2 NVMe SSDs no longer need to be installed on the motherboard or expansion cards using tiny screws, but can be conveniently inserted from the front of the computer without tools. The ToughArmor MB720M2K-B features an innovative M.2 SSD installation design that makes the otherwise cumbersome installation and maintenance of M.2 SSDs a breeze. The ToughArmor MB720M2K-B supports up to four M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs with lightning-fast PCIe x4 transfer speeds of up to 32Gb/s per channel via MiniSAS HD (SFF-8643). It also supports all standard M.2 SSD lengths from 30 mm to 110 mm (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, 22110). In addition, each bay offers an especially efficient aluminum heatsink next to the many ventilation openings, ensuring that all M.2 NVMe SSDs operate within the optimal temperature range even under load.
