Asus ROG XREAL R1S20 Edition 20 Narrow black/gold IPD 57–66 mm

The ASUS ROG XREAL R1S20 Edition 20 is a gaming AR headset that extends connected devices with a large-format virtual display. The Sony Micro-OLED displays offer a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels per eye, up to 700 nits of brightness, and a 57° field of view. At a viewing distance of four meters, it creates a virtual image measuring up to 434.3 cm (171 inches). The refresh rate is normally 120 Hz and can be increased to up to 240 Hz via Frame Rate Boost; this involves image scaling, which may slightly reduce image sharpness compared to native display. The integrated 3DoF tracking enables, among other things, an Anchor Mode in which the virtual display remains spatially fixed in position even when the head moves. Electrochromic lenses with three tint levels allow adjustment to different lighting conditions and support an automatic transparency function in Anchor Mode. Instant 3D also enables conventional 2D content to be displayed spatially in real time. Sound is provided by integrated speakers with Sound by Bose, complemented by a noise-cancelling microphone array. The ROG XREAL R1S20-N Edition 20 connects via USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode, with video, audio, and power transmitted through a single cable. An integrated battery is therefore not required. The Narrow Size version is intended for an interpupillary distance (IPD) of 57 to 66 mm. Three sizes of nose pads and three-level temple angle adjustment support individual fitting. A removable insert for prescription lenses is also included and can be fitted by an optician with lenses in the required prescription strength.
