The ROG Strix Scar 18 (G835LXG-TQ378W) from ASUS impresses with high performance and an eye-catching design. This gaming notebook runs on an Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, 64 gigabytes of ultra-fast DDR5 RAM, and two M.2 PCIe SSDs with a capacity of 2 terabytes each, delivering smooth performance even under heavy load. The display on the 45.7 cm (18") UHD+ IPS screen (3840 x 2400) with 100% DCI P3 coverage and a refresh rate of up to 300 Hz is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 24 gigabytes of GDDR7 graphics memory. With Wi-Fi 7 or 2.5 Gigabit LAN, this gaming powerhouse is also well connected, and it includes HDMI 2.1, Bluetooth 5.4, and Thunderbolt 5. Versatile RGB design elements such as the backlit keyboard and various illuminated areas built into the chassis and display lid further highlight the exciting design of this device, whose powerful hardware is kept at low temperatures by a liquid metal cooling system.Required charger min (W)45Required charger max (W)100USB PD supportedYesTypeGaming notebookColorblackEAN4711636704618Manufacturer No.90NR0LF1-M00SB0Processor modelIntel® Core™ Ultra 9 290HX Plus (24 cores / 24 threads) / Boost clock 5.5 GHzProcessor core layout8 Performance cores (8 threads) / base clock 2.7 GHz / boost clock 5.5 GHz16 Performance cores (16 threads) / base clock 1.8 GHz / boost clock 4.7 GHzProcessor AI/NPU/ Performance (TOPS) 13Total RAM capacity64 GB (of which 64 GB installed)Max. supported RAM capacity128 GB DDR5 (of which 128 GB replaceable)RAM typeDDR5 (6400 MHz)RAM slots2 memory slots available, of which 2 are occupiedRAM designSO-DIMMDisplay size45.7 cm (18 inches)Display refresh rate300 HzDisplay resolution3840 x 2400 pixelsDisplay typeIPSDisplay aspect ratio16:10Display featureAnti glareDisplay brightness500 cd/m²Display DCI-P3100% coverageGraphics typeNVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 notebook GPUGraphics memory24 GB (GDDR7)Graphics performance TGP150 WattGraphics performance Dynamic Boost25 WattGraphics performance maximum total GPU power175 WattGraphics performance boost clock1647 MHzGraphics ports1x HDMI (HDMI version: 2.1)Mainboard ports1x RJ-45, 2x Thunderbolt 5, 3x USB-A 3.2 (5 Gbit/s)Mainboard portsThe USB 3.2 Gen 1 designation corresponds to the earlier names USB 3.1 Gen 1 or USB 3.0.Number of storage devices2Total storage capacity4 TBStorage device 1 capacity2 TB [M.2, via PCIe 5.0, SSD]Storage device 2 capacity2 TB [M.2, via PCIe 5.0, SSD]Optical drive typenot availableNumber of webcams1Webcam Windows HelloYesWebcam infrared sensorYesWebcam featuresFHD webcamAudio ports1x headphone/microphone combo jackAudio speakers2.0Audio featuresSound system with four speakers, Smart Amp, Dolby AtmosAudio microphoneavailableLAN connectivity2.5-Gigabit LANWLAN connectivityWi-Fi 7Bluetooth connectivityBluetooth 5.4Keyboard layoutGerman with number padKeyboard functionsSingle-key backlightingChassis lightingRGBKeyboard backlightingRGBOperating systemMicrosoft Windows 11 HomeBattery power sourceLithium-ionBattery cell count4 pcsBattery capacity90 WhSecurity features (license/privacy)Trusted Platform Module (TPM)Accessories included450 Watt power adapterDimensionsWidth: 399 mm x Height: 35 mm x Depth/length: 298 mmWeight3.7 kg
