Baader OTP Outdoor Telescope Power 19WThis 12.8 volt /1.5 Amp switching power supply with protective-disconnect plug serves all Celestron telescopes up to the CGEM-DX series. At little higher price it offers enormous benefits compared to common department store indoor units.Conventional power supplies having a 12V nominal voltage are made for use in your "living room". When used outside in the cold the voltage will reduce with temperature. Already at -10°C the remaining voltage output may have gone down to only 10.5 V. The motors of many telescope mounts will behave erratic at such low voltage. Especially the motor driver electronics then tries to replace the missing voltage by draining ever more Amps until both - power supply and mount electronics - will stall or become damaged. Many users then blame the mount and it´s messy electronics - instead of checking wether an inadaequate power supply may be the culprit. The Baader Outdoor Telescope Power supply offers continuous 1.5 Amp/ < 12 volt DC voltage all accross the AC voltage range from 90 to 260volt. Even at extreme cold the voltage can not go down as far as to damage the electronic components or motors of your telescope mount.19 Watt/ 1.5 Amp permanent power ensure ample reserve for smooth tracking even at full photographic instrument load and high torque variations due to changing telescope balance. In addition to the outdoor voltage of 12.8V also the thermal working temperature has been designed for -25°C to +40°C.The connecting cord measures 2.5m in length. This is longer than usual to ensure that the wall plug portion of the power supply can be safely stored down the tripod legs so that the power cord will not become a trip-wire. The ellbowed plug does protect the power cable from accidental breakage and especially the telescope power input socket from damage when actually someone would trip over the cable. When accidentally the cable gets tightened the connecting ellbowed plug will release the cable straight, without ripping or damaging the power socket affixed in the telescope.

Top Offer! TS Optics 17 mm Plössl Eyepiece with 1.25" barrel sizeA good Plössl eyepiece outperforms a simple Kellner. Through bulk purchase, we can offer this type of eyepiece at a price for which you would get only more simple eyepieces elsewhere. Nevertheless, the features are quite impressive. The 17 mm Plössl is a fine all-round eyepiece, it delivers a good performance on planets, but also when viewing nebulae and galaxies. It is often chosen for binoviewers, too, due to the very good ease of view. Areas of application of Plössl eyepieces:Through the four-element design, the Plössl is a true all-rouder. It does not introduce an additional chromatic aberration to the system, in opposite to more simple eyepieces with fewer elements. As a consequence, these eyepieces can be very well used for observing moon and planets with higher magnifications. At lower magnifications, Plössl eyepieces are well suited for observing nebulae, star clusters and galaxies, they convince with a field of view relatively free of distortion. Astrophotographers can also work well with Plössl eyepieces, as they are well suited for eyepiece projection. The MgF2 coating prevents disturbing reflections and provide good contrast. However, many projection adapters are too narrow for the Plössl eyepieces with 32 or 40 mm focal length.
A good Plössl eyepiece outperforms a simple Kellner. Through bulk purchase, we can offer this type of eyepiece at a price for which you would get only more simple eyepieces elsewhere. Nevertheless, the features are quite impressive. The 40 mm Plössl offers maximum field of view with 1.25" and is a fine overview eyepiece. With its long focal length of 40 mm, it is especially suited for slow telescopes like Cassegrains or refractors not faster than f/8. The image stays still bright, making the eyepiece well siuted for observing nebulae, open star clusters and galaxies, but also for centering of objects. Omegon T-2 ring for Minolta AF - basic adapter for bayonet to T2 thread This Omegon T-ring lets you adapt the bayonet of your SLR camera to the T-2 thread used as a standard fitting in amateur astronomy. There are a large range of adapters that use it. What do I need to connect my camera to the telescope? First, remove the lens from your camera. Then attach this T-2 ring onto the bayonet fitting. You will then see a T-2 female thread, to which you can connect virtually any astronomical adapter. You can connect, for example, a T-2 camera adapter (item 1250) or a focal reducer. These adapters have a T-2 male thread and fit directly onto your T-ring. This combination fits directly onto the focuser of your telescope - firmly attaching your camera to the telescope. The advantages in a nutshell: T-2 ring from the camera bayonet to T-2 base ring for connecting an SLR camera to a telescope connect any T-2 adapter to this ring

APM Barlow 2" This is the 2" counterpart of our famed 1.25", 2x/1.5x Barlow lens. It is well made both in design and craftmanship. Both lenses are fully multicoated for best-possible contrast and transmission. The lenses have a diameter of 37mm, thus you can even use 2" wide angle eyepieces without vignetting. Further uses: With a 2" extension tube - 50mm - you will attain a magnification of 2.7x compared to an eyepiece without the Barlow lens. That way you turn a 30mm wide angle eyepiece into an 11mm wide angle eyepiece with comfortable eye relief. Remove the black anodized lens cell from the Barlow lens and screw it directly into your eyepiece to attain a magnification of 1.5x.
Omegon LE Planetary eyepieces – powerful eyepieces for star-studded excursions through the night skyThese eyepieces offer an extraordinary combination of elegance and top optical performance to enhance your observations. The LE Planetary eyepieces from Omegon have been engineered for extremely high sharpness and contrast at levels not found in this class. The Omegon LE Planetary eyepieces have an outstanding optical design that caters precisely to the needs of stargazers.Even with Newton telescopes with a fast lens, the LE Planetary eyepieces offer absolute distortion-free images up to the extremes of the field of view. These 1.25” eyepieces are available in focal lengths of 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12.5mm, 14.5mm and 18mm.Their interior design is comprised of seven lens elements in four groups (18 mm model: five elements in three groups). All lens edges are blackened and glass/air surfaces coated with a multi-layer, high-impact anti-reflex coating. One major difference from traditional eyepieces is the long, 20mm interocular distance, which provides a very pleasant viewing experience. Even spectacle wearers can observe the entire field of view. The apparent field of view is 55°.Compared with similar eyepieces, tests produced greater transparency and more brilliant images with a dark sky background and no interfering stray light. The interior aperture system makes a decisive contribution to reducing stray light. All focal lengths have eyepieces 21 mm across. Omegon LE Planetary eyepieces don’t just artificially enlarge the field of view on its edges, but display a real field without much distortion to the edge area.Using the LE Planetary eyepieces, the exact optical axis does not need to be maintained during observation. The observation is not impaired through vibrations when you look into the device, since there is no vignetting – also known as the kidney bean effect.
Astronomik ProPlanet 742 IR-pass filter Ideal filters for the reception of the moon and planets, notably Mars, with telescopes from 6” (150mm) aperture. The ProPlanet IR 742 only allows infrared light with wavelengths of more than 742 nm to pass. In this wavelength range the effects of seeing are significantly lower than in the visible spectrum of the human eye. This allows much sharper images than are usually obtained from your device and location. Another advantage is that the sky background of advanced dawn is dark and so the filter even allows photography of the planets and the moon at daylight. Main use The Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742 cuts off the visible part of the spectrum and allows the light of wavelengths longer then 742nm to pass. Due to this behavior the part of the spectrum that is most sensitive to bad seeing is rejected. This approach does a big improvement to the imaging of planets and the moon. The image is more steady than the image in the visible light with nearly identical exposure times.
TS-Optics 35 mm Ultra-Flat-Field Eyepiece with 69° Field of ViewThe 2" ultra flat field eyepiece convinced with a very high standard of quality and a modern 6-element design. The optics is designed in a way that the field curvature is largely eliminated. The eyepiece is suited for all telescopes with a focal ratio of f/5 or slower. With faster telescopes the exit pupil would become too large, so light would be wasted. Further features of the TS UFL35: ♦ Special ED glasses for very good color correction♦ Adjustable metal eyecup with rubber ring as support for eyeglasses♦ Fully multi-coated with 99.98% transmission for maximum image brightness♦ Elaborate internal baffle system against stray light and reflections at the edge♦ Absolutely flat field without distorsion. The moon, for example, stays round even at the edge of the field and is not warped into an oval.♦ Smooth 2" barrel with conical upper part without safety notch - no tilting in focusers with compression ring
