Oft wurde ich gefragt, ob denn bald ein zweiter Band erscheint. Dieser liegt jetzt hier vor. Vorwort Die Kompositionen von "11 Duets for Saxophone", dem später auch die Ausgaben für Klarinette und Flöte folgten, erfreuen sich anhaltender Beliebtheit und werden im Unterricht, zu Hause, bei Schülerkonzerten und als Programmstücke für "Jugend Musiziert" verwendet. Mittlerweile gibt es eine ganze Reihe von YouTube-Videos mit den Stücken, nicht nur aus unterschiedlichen Regionen Deutschlands, sondern auch aus den Niederlanden, Italien und sogar aus Vietnam. Oft wurde ich gefragt, ob denn bald ein zweiter Band erscheint. Dieser liegt jetzt hier vor. Ich habe mich allerdings dafür entschieden, nicht einen zweiten, sondern einen "ersten" Band zu schreiben, also Stücke, die auch von Anfängern gut gespielt werden können. Die vorliegenden "11 Duets for Beginners" können parallel zu der im AMA Verlag erschienenen Saxophonschule verwendet werden und sind für Anfänger nach etwa einem halben Jahr Unterricht spielbar. Sie können sowohl als reine Duos als auch mit Klavier- oder CD-Begleitung gespielt werden. Die Begleitakkorde der Stücke finden sich im eingelegten Begleitheft. Für die zweite Stimme gibt es im Einleger eine Transposition für Tenorsaxophon. Die Stücke decken ein breites Spektrum an Stilen ab und führen Tonarten und Rhythmen auf eine vergnügliche Art und Weise ein.
