Just as the airplex modularity series, no welding is performed during production of the airplex radical series, preventing any welding residues inside the radiator. The coolant does not have contact to any other materials than seals, Delrin, copper and stainless steel.For an improved and easier installation process, the airplex radical series comes with threaded inserts made from nickel plated brass that protrude into the mounting holes of the fans. Therefore, fans are "automatically" correctly aligned to the threads - extremely convenient especially with large radiators! Additionally, this results in a deeper thread and the screw can be positioned farther away from the tubes and fins of the radiator, reducing the risk to damage the radiator by using too long screws. If the radiator is to be installed without fans, the inserts can also be installed upside-down resulting in a nearly flat surface, so there is no gap between radiator and PC case.Both sides of the radiator are equipped with slide rails for the threaded inserts and inserts for one side of the radiator are included in delivery. The aqualis ECO series reservoirs are equipped with a borosilicate glass tube which, unlike the acrylic glass commonly used for tube reservoirs, has very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube has an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid of the aqualis series are made of Delrin, the lid and bottom are connected by a nickel-plated brass tube. A visual highlight is the integrated water column effect. If the return line is connected to the central connection of the aqualis, the water flows through the central brass tube to the cover and exits through eight openings, which is a real eye-catcher especially in connection with lighting. A thin acrylic sheet close to the bottom of the aqualis minimizes air entry into the circuit. Alternatively, the return can be connected to a side port, the water then flows back from the ground into the surge tank. For this configuration, a baffle is included, which in turn ensures good ventilation of the circuit. The aqualis PRO variants also have an acrylic glass window integrated in the floor and can accommodate up to six LEDs (type 5 mm / not included)) and is additionally prepared for retrofitting a level measurement. The aqualis DDC 100 ml reservoir from aqua computer is designed for direct mounting to a Laing DDC pump not included in the delivery. For this purpose, the pump is attached only by means of a fastening ring and four screws in the base of the expansion tank. Separately available mounting rubbers can also be screwed into the base of the AGBs to allow mounting on the PC case. Alternatively, the pump and expansion tank can also be attached via the mounting tabs of the pump in the PC case. The container itself is made of high-grade borosilicate glass, which, in contrast to the acrylic glass often used for tube expansion tanks, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, a very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube of this 100 ml version has an outside diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid, however, are made of Delrin, each have two G1 / 4-inch ports and are connected inside the tube by a stainless steel rod. This version is additionally provided with a nano-coating, which allows water to simply roll off the inside of the glass tube. This creates a cool visual effect that enhances the entire reservoir. The reservoirs aquainlet PRO and aquainlet XT are designed to be directly mounted onto an aquastream XT or Eheim 1046 pump. The design is perfectly matched to the pump, after installation pump and reservoir form a virtually seamless unit. In particular, the mounting rails of the pump are extended into the reservoir, which for the first time allows for the mounting plate to be installed beneath the center of gravity. This is especially helpful when using rubber decouplers or a shoggy sandwich. When installed onto the suction port of the pump, an o-ring seals the connection between pump and reservoir and two latches secure the reservoir to the pump housing, preventing accidental release of the bayonet coupling between pump cover and pump housing. Two connection threads for the return line located at the front and the side of the unit allow for flexible installation options and are paticularly useful if the reservoir is to be installed with limited space.The reservoirs aquainlet PRO and aquainlet XT are closely related to the aqualis series and are also equipped with a borosilicate glass tube. In contrast to acrylic glass, which is often used for tube reservoirs, borosilicate glass is extremele hard and scratch-resistant, features superb thermal and chemical resistance and a very low thermal expansion. The glass tube has an outer diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. Base and top of the aquainlet reservoirs are made from Delrin and connected by a stainless steel rod. The aquainlet XT variants feature an acrylic window in the base part and one LED (5 mm size) can be installed into the base part. Additionally, the XT variants feature an electronic fill level sensor with USB and aquabus interface, a programmable alarm output and an external temperature sensor input. For monitoring and configuration, the aquasuite software can be downloaded free of charge. In addition to the USB interface, the 4-pin aquabus interface can be used to directly connect the fill level sensor to an aquaero 5 controller (not included in delivery). The alarm output can be configured to be used as a rpm signal to be connected to a fan connector with fault detection (for example motherboard fan headers) or to be used as a switched output for example to connect a LED. Fill level and external temperature sensor input can be configured to raise an alarm.
