With the Core Ocean AiO, Alphacool presents an all-in-one solution that, thanks to its excellent price-performance ratio, enables entry into performance-oriented CPU water cooling. The difference to the Eisbaer CPU AiO is that the Ocean All-in-One is not expandable. Adding further components such as GPU coolers, radiators or expansion tanks is not intended here. Aluminium Radiator Compared to Alphacool's full copper models, the T38 aluminium radiator has additional cooling channels. This technical design allows a significant increase in cooling capacity without restricting the water flow within the radiator. Due to the low height of 38mm, the radiator with single-sided fan assembly fits into the tightest case and enables high-performance water cooling of the CPU. Core fan The fan can be regulated from 0 to 2000 rpm via the 4-pin PWM connection. The cable is 40cm long. This allows the fan to be connected to the mainboard or a special controller without the need for additional adapter cables or extensions. At 2000 rpm, it provides an air flow of 92.3 CFM, together with a high static pressure of 2.53mm/H2O. This makes the fan perfect for mounting on radiators of a water cooling system. Cooler & Pump As with all Alphacool products, the radiator base is made of copper and is equipped with very fine cooling fins distributed over the entire base. A nozzle plate ensures an accelerated flow over the cooling fins, which increases the cooling performance. The water flow is optimised so that all areas of the cooler base are cooled evenly. The cooler is compatible with all common mainstream sockets from AMD and Intel. The built-in pump has a speed range of 2500 - 3500 RPM (+/- 10%) and can be controlled via PWM. The pump is connected to the mainboard or to an external controller via the existing 4-pin fan connector. This allows the speed range of the pump to be controlled and monitored. Hoses & Connections The FEP hoses are 40cm long, sleeved and very flexible. The rotatable 360° connections to the cooler and to the radiator are permanently installed and cannot be replaced. However, the combination of hoses and connectors allows a very variable positioning of the AiO even in the tightest PC case. Illumination 12 digitally addressable 5V RGB LEDs are installed in the pump housing, which create a unique, very noble-looking illumination. The digital aRGB LED lighting is connected via a JST 3-pin connector. To control the lighting, the 3-pin female connector must be connected to a digital RGB controller (not included) or a digital RGB-capable mainboard. The next generation - The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water cooler for Geforce RTX 4XXX graphics cards. In order to dissipate the enormous heat of this graphics card generation in the best possible way, numerous optimizations have been made to the water cooler compared to the previous model. The fin structure was adapted and enables a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The modified jet plate with improved inflow engine ensures an optimal distribution of the water on the cooling fins. Technical Highlights The fin structure of this Eisblock cooler generation was developed together with Nvidia board partners. The fin thickness is 0.4 mm, the distance between the cooling fins is 0.4 mm. This ensures a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The jet plate has a revised inlay that spreads the water pressure better over the fins thus optimizing the heat absorption. The adjusted water inflow gives the water a better angle of inflow. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers. Design The Aurora design of the Geforce RTX 4XXX Eisblock generation is visually calmer and simpler. Only one O-ring runs around the entire cooler. The design around the cooling fins and jetplate makes for a cleaner look. The illumination of the digitally addressable RGB LEDs is even better distributed throughout the cooler as a result of the chrome plating. The terminal's design is in line with the classic Aurora design. Thermal paste & thermal pads The included thermal compound is Alphacool's Subzero. With a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK, it is one of the highest performing thermal pastes on the market. The electrically non-conductive thermal compund is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be processed perfectly due to its viscosity of 850000 TF. Alphacool Soft Pads with 1mm thickness are used on the voltage converter and the graphics memory. The thermal conductivity of the pads is 7 W/mK. The end chambers, water channels and cooling fins are all made of copper and are a unique selling point worldwide. As a result, Alphacool radiators have been among the most popular and best on the market for many years, providing the perfect foundation for every water cooling system. Full Cooling CapacityTo maximize the performance of a radiator, Alphacool reaches deep into its bag of tricks. Copper is the starting point. With a thermal conductivity of 400 W/(mK) for copper compared to 236 W/(mK) for aluminium, the winner is clear. Alongside this is the special fin density. Alphacool is one of the oldest companies in the field of water cooling and has carried out countless laboratory tests. The result, especially for such large radiators, is a fin spacing of 12 FPI. This means that the air flow is almost unobstructed as the air can pass through even without high pressure. However, the cooling capacity does not suffer from this, on the contrary. To use the airflow optimally, all cooling fins have small serrations. These are tiny flaps that guide the airflow in the desired direction and increase the surface area. In the case of radiators, they are barely 1 mm high, but still provide controlled air turbulence to increase cooling capacity and minimise airflow noise. Which fans?The 400 mm XT45 radiator offers space for a 200 mm fan with 154 or 165 mm mounting holes on the mounting frame. Due to their low height of only 80 mm and the special M3 mounting holes on the top and bottom, they’re perfect for 1U server racks. Alternatively, the radiators can also be mounted in the classic way using the mounting locations of the fans. M3 screws are also required here.No compromise on materialsAlphacool always uses copper in its NexXxoS radiators. Alphacool is the only manufacturer that uses pure copper for all water-bearing components. Starting with the end chambers, the water channels and the cooling fins, everything is made of pure copper. Only the connecting threads are made of brass, as pure copper would be too soft for the threads and would give way over time.Outstanding cooling capacityThere are several approaches that Alphacool uses to increase the cooling capacity. Using copper ensures the best properties to dissipate the heat. Aluminium, which is often used in low-cost products, is not as good as copper in terms of heat capacity and thermal conductivity.Compared to some other manufacturers, the copper fins are only thinly painted. This means that the cooling performance isn’t affected at all unlike a thick coating of paint which would act as a insulator. The fin spacing is 10 FPI for optimal performance. This means that the fins are close enough together to create a large surface, but also far enough apart not to obstruct the air flow. In addition, all fins are designed to provide controlled air turbulence. This means that the air flowing through the fins is more efficient and is directed exactly where it is needed.X-Flow instead of U-FlowThe water flow in classic PC radiators is U-shaped. This means that the water inlet and outlet are on the same side on the radiator. This has certain advantages in the normal PC, however, it is difficult to set up a reasonable cooling loop like this in an extremely flat server. Due to the X-Flow technology, the input and output are located on the opposite sides. This makes it very easy to create a loop in the server rack. For example, you could go out from one side, directly into a CPU, then into one or more graphics cards and the pump, then back to the radiator on the other side.Versatile connection optionsEach NexXxoS 80 mm X-Flow radiator has 3 ports on each end of the radiator. This means that almost any conceivable mounting position can be achieved. The connections are located on each side in the opposite position and then one at the head ends of the radiators.Alphacool has developed special patented stop plugs that are flush with the radiator to avoid them fouling the case.
