The next generation - The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water cooler for Geforce RTX 4XXX graphics cards. In order to dissipate the enormous heat of this graphics card generation in the best possible way, numerous optimizations have been made to the water cooler compared to the previous model. The fin structure was adapted and enables a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The modified jet plate with improved inflow engine ensures an optimal distribution of the water on the cooling fins. Technical Highlights The fin structure of this Eisblock cooler generation was developed together with Nvidia board partners. The fin thickness is 0.4 mm, the distance between the cooling fins is 0.4 mm. This ensures a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The jet plate has a revised inlay that spreads the water pressure better over the fins thus optimizing the heat absorption. The adjusted water inflow gives the water a better angle of inflow. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers. Design The Aurora design of the Geforce RTX 4XXX Eisblock generation is visually calmer and simpler. Only one O-ring runs around the entire cooler. The choice of materials is still uncompromisingly based on copper or brass for all metals in order to guarantee performance-oriented CPU cooling. Due to the included quick-release fastener, additional components like radiators or GPU coolers can be integrated afterwards without having to drain or rebuild the water loop. Eisblock XPX Aurora CPU Cooler Alphacool's Eisblock XPX Aurora CPU water cooler offers the highest performance and impresses with its outstanding quality. The patented ramp system ensures optimal water flow within the cooler as water is forced evenly through the jet plate. 81 cooling fins are distributed on the CPU cooler base, occupying an area of 34 x 32mm and thus accommodating the ever-growing CPU DIEs. The Aurora design in combination with the 15 addressable digital aRGB LEDs provides many options for outstanding CPU water cooler illumination. The included mounting hardware makes the CPU cooler compatible with popular mainstream sockets from AMD and Intel. Core 100 Aurora Reservoir & VPP Apex Pump The Core reservoir combines performance with design. The reservoir tube is made of acrylic, while the D5/VPP pump top and lid are made of acetal. The combination of these two materials gives the expansion tank a subtle appearance. The wow effect is provided by 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top and the Lighttower water effect inside the acrylic tube. The Apex VPP is a powerful pump that is compatible with the most popular D5/VPP tops and reservoirs. The pump's speed can be read out via the 4-pin fan connector and controlled via PWM signal. The Apex VPP is supplied with power via a SATA connector. NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 420mm Radiator V.2 All water-bearing parts and the cooling fins are made of pure copper. Thus, the NexXxoS ST30 achieves the highest thermal conductivity value of all radiators on the market and can easily dissipate extremely high waste heat. The radiator has two IN or OUT connections with G1/4" threads in the pre-chamber area. On the opposite side is a fill or vent port, which can be used to fill and drain the water loop. Rise Aurora 140mm fans The fans can be controlled from 0 to 2000 rpm via the 4-pin PWM connector. At 800 rpm, the fan is nearly silent, but still offers good airflow (154.1 m3/h) coupled with high static pressure (2.20 mm/H2O). The Alphacool Eiswolf 2 is the first full cover GPU AIO waterblock from Alphacool. It is based on the Alphacool GPX Eisblock Aurora GPX water block, a pump unit and a 360mm NexXxoS ST30 full copper radiator. The latter is equipped with the Alphacool Aurora Rise Digital RGB fans.Fullcover Waterblock?The Eiswolf 2 graphics card AIO water block not only cools the GPU with liquid but also all relevant components that require active cooling. This includes the graphics memory, the VRM and, if necessary, other components that require direct cooling. By using the Eisblock GPX Aurora water cooler, the cooling capacity is identical to that of a DIY graphics card water cooler.Chrome-plated copperThe cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers.PumpThe Eiswolf 2 has a pump unit in place of the normal connection terminal. This pump unit houses the DC-LT 2 pump. An improved and quieter version of the well-known DC-LT Low Noise Ceramic Pump. Despite looking rather large, the pump unit is only 5 mm wider than a normal connection terminal.Fittings and TubingAs with all new AIO units, Alphacool uses only TPV hoses from the Enterprise Solution range for (usually reserved for servers and workstations) in the Eiswolf 2. The tubing is made of EPDM/PP and are extremely heat-resistant, durable, and free of plasticizers. All fittings are also based on the Enterprise Solution range and match the TPV hoses perfectly.ExpandabilityBy using the quick-release fastener, the Eiswolf 2 can be connected to another Alphacool AIO unit to achieve a larger loop in seconds. Alphacool offers various prefilled components with which the loop can be easily extended. For safety reasons, the quick-release fasteners are firmly screwed together and not just plugged together.Lighting and fansThe Eiswolf 2 cooler has a digital RGB LED lighting, also called addressable RGB LEDs. They run along the entire back of the graphics card cooler and provide complete illumination of the water cooler. The pump unit is more discreet and offers a green glowing logo for Nvidia and a red glowing logo for AMD cards. The name "Eiswolf" on the pump unit remains unlit, discreetly in the background. The fan used is the Aurora Rise with 120mm. Due to the special blade design, the fan is extremely quiet and the addressable RGB LEDs provide brilliant illumination. The Alphacool Aurora Rise fan convinces with a max. static pressure of 3.17mm/H2O and offers a max. air flow of 119.8m3/h. The PWM control allows the fan to be controlled over a wide speed range. In addition, it offers a zero control. It can therefore be regulated down to 0 rpm and then starts with approx. 350 rpm.NexXxoS RadiatorAs with all AIO units, Alphacool uses radiators from the world renowned NexXxoS series. The full copper radiators offer a much higher cooling capacity than aluminium radiators and have contributed significantly to Alphacool's worldwide success.The combination of all of the components results in a solution that is as simple as an AIO solution to install, but with the performance of a pre-assembled and prefilled custom loop.Technical note!Due to long storage times and various transport routes, the liquid in the Eiswolf 2 AIO remains still for a long time. The ingredients of the liquid can therefore deposit and lead to a brownish discoloration. As soon as the pump starts operating, the ingredients mix again and the liquid should regain an approximately clear color.
