This ensures that the Eisbaer LT 92 fits into almost every compact case on the market. The hose length is only 25 cm which means it is optimal for small cases in which the laying of long hoses can become a torture. This is one of the reasons why Alphacool does not use the usual quick release fasteners in the Eisbaer LT 92. Due to the compact dimensions of SFF cases, quick release fasteners can often be too cumbersome. Uncompromising with the materialsAs is usual with Alphacool, the radiator is made of copper and comes from the well-known NexXxoS series. The antechambers, cooling fins and the water channels are made entirely of copper. The heat capacity of copper is almost twice as high as that of aluminium, which is particularly noticeable when the radiator is driven to its performance limit. When a comparable aluminium radiator fails, the copper radiator really gets going. The cold plate of the Eisbaer LT 92 is also made of nickel-plated copper. But it has a great feature: The Eisschicht consists of thermal paste with an embedded mesh! This ensures that the performance of these pads is much more efficient than normal thermal pads, regardless of the low W/mK value. In addition, a better distribution and filling between the surfaces is achieved. This also results in better air displacement. The Alphacool Eisschicht Ultra Soft are the ultimate in thermal pads. Their outstanding properties mean they can almost be compared to thermal paste. The Eisschicht Ultra Soft pads fit much better to components, which contributes to excellent cooling performance.Better than standard thermal pads?The ultra-soft material of the Eisschicht Ultra Soft thermal pads acts in a similar way to thermal paste. While normal thermal pads are simply pressed together by the contact pressure, which can lead to uneven contact pressure on components of different heights, this is almost impossible with the Eisschicht Ultra Soft thermal pads. The material spreads as well as thermal paste and thus prevents the highest components from being subjected to increased contact pressure from the cooler. In the worst case, this can lead to the PCB bending. The soft consistency also fills in any uneven areas much better. The Eisschicht Ultra Soft thermal pads therefore cling much better to the components, which of course benefits heat transfer.But that’s not the only advantage!The special material also cannot dry out. Usually the silicone in thermal pads bleeds over time. This causes them to become hard and the performance of the pads drops rapidly at a certain point. This is not the case with the Eisschicht Ultra Soft thermal pads. They can be used for a much longer period of time without losing any significant performance.A thermal pad with fabric?The consistency of the heat-conducting material is similar to a viscous thermal paste. A special fabric is embedded so that the material remains stable and can be used as a thermal pad. This ensures perfect distribution of the material if the element to be cooled has an uneven shape. Examples of this include voltage converters, VRam and similar electronic components of all kinds that require cooling.Cropping? No problem!When cutting the thermal pads, you should definitely leave the foil on the pads. This means that the pads can be easily cut to size with scissors. It's just as easy as cutting paper. It is based on the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora GPX water block, a pump unit and a 360mm NexXxoS ST30 full copper radiator. The latter is equipped with the Alphacool Aurora Rise Digital RGB fans.Fullcover Waterblock?The Eiswolf 2 graphics card AIO water block not only cools the GPU with liquid but also all relevant components that require active cooling. This includes the graphics memory, the VRM and, if necessary, other components that require direct cooling. By using the Eisblock GPX Aurora water cooler, the cooling capacity is identical to that of a DIY graphics card water cooler.PumpThe Eiswolf 2 has a pump unit in place of the normal connection terminal. This pump unit houses the DC-LT 2 pump. An improved and quieter version of the well-known DC-LT Low Noise Ceramic Pump. Despite looking rather large, the pump unit is only 5 mm wider than a normal connection terminal.Fittings and TubingAs with all new AIO units, Alphacool uses only TPV hoses from the Enterprise Solution range for (usually reserved for servers and workstations) in the Eiswolf 2. The tubing is made of EPDM/PP and are extremely heat-resistant, durable, and free of plasticizers.
