Alphacool ES Geforce RTX 4090 Reference 1-Slot-Design The Alphacool ES 1-Slot Copper/Carbon water cooler with backplate was specially developed for the Alphacool Enterprise Series. Due to the positioning of the connections, the tubing of the cooler in the server rack is made much easier. The cooler top and the backplate are made of carbon. This makes the water cooler lighter compared to Alphacool's ice blocks with acetal or acrylic top. This cooler is 1U compatible! More performance! Alphacool succeeds in positioning the cooler as close as possible to the components to be cooled. To do this, the thermal pads used are reduced to a thickness of 1mm. The maximum possible reduction in the thickness of the copper block and the optimization of the water flow within the cooler allow all important components such as the GPU, voltage converter and VRAMs to be cooled much better and more effectively by the water. Alphacool Eiswolf 2 AIO - 360mm RTX 4090 FE mit Backplate The Alphacool Eiswolf 2 is the first full cover GPU AIO waterblock from Alphacool. It is based on the Alphacool GPX Eisblock Aurora GPX water block, a pump unit and a 360mm NexXxoS ST30 full copper radiator. The latter is equipped with the Alphacool Aurora Rise Digital RGB fans. Fullcover Waterblock? The Eiswolf 2 graphics card AIO water block not only cools the GPU with liquid but also all relevant components that require active cooling. This includes the graphics memory, the VRM and, if necessary, other components that require direct cooling. By using the Eisblock GPX Aurora water cooler, the cooling capacity is identical to that of a DIY graphics card water cooler. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. Despite looking rather large, the pump unit is only 5 mm wider than a normal connection terminal. Fittings and Tubing As with all new AIO units, Alphacool uses only TPV hoses from the Enterprise Solution range for (usually reserved for servers and workstations) in the Eiswolf 2. The tubing is made of EPDM/PP and are extremely heat-resistant, durable, and free of plasticizers. All fittings are also based on the Enterprise Solution range and match the TPV hoses perfectly. Expandability By using the quick-release fastener, the Eiswolf 2 can be connected to another Alphacool AIO unit to achieve a larger loop in seconds. Alphacool offers various prefilled components with which the loop can be easily extended. For safety reasons, the quick-release fasteners are firmly screwed together and not just plugged together. Lighting and fans The Eiswolf 2 cooler has a digital RGB LED lighting, also called addressable RGB LEDs. They run along the entire back of the graphics card cooler and provide complete illumination of the water cooler. The pump unit is more discreet and offers a green glowing logo for Nvidia and a red glowing logo for AMD cards. The name "Eiswolf" on the pump unit remains unlit, discreetly in the background. The fan used is the Aurora Rise with 120mm. Due to the special blade design, the fan is extremely quiet and the addressable RGB LEDs provide brilliant illumination. The Alphacool Aurora Rise fan convinces with a max. static pressure of 3.17mm/H2O and offers a max. air flow of 119.8m3/h. The PWM control allows the fan to be controlled over a wide speed range. In addition, it offers a zero control. It can therefore be regulated down to 0 rpm and then starts with approx. 350 rpm. NexXxoS Radiator As with all AIO units, Alphacool uses radiators from the world renowned NexXxoS series. The full copper radiators offer a much higher cooling capacity than aluminium radiators and have contributed significantly to Alphacool's worldwide success. The combination of all of the components results in a solution that is as simple as an AIO solution to install, but with the performance of a pre-assembled and prefilled custom loop. Technical note! Due to long storage times and various transport routes, the liquid in the Eiswolf 2 AIO remains still for a long time. The ingredients of the liquid can therefore deposit and lead to a brownish discoloration. As soon as the pump starts operating, the ingredients mix again and the liquid should regain an approximately clear color. Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Geforce RTX 4090 GameRock + Phantom with backplate The next generation - the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water cooler for Geforce RTX 40XX graphics cards. In order to dissipate the enormous heat of this graphics card generation in the best possible way, numerous optimizations have been made to the water cooler compared to the previous model. The fin structure was adapted and enables a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The modified jet plate with improved inflow engine ensures an optimal distribution of the water on the cooling fins.Technical HighlightsThe fin structure of this Eisblock cooler generation was developed together with Nvidia board partners. The fin thickness is 0.4 mm, the distance between the cooling fins is 0.4 mm. This ensures a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The jet plate has a revised inlay that spreads the water pressure better over the fins thus optimizing the heat absorption. The adjusted water inflow gives the water a better angle of inflow.Chrome-plated copperThe cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers. DesignThe Aurora design of the Geforce RTX 40XX Eisblock generation is visually calmer and simpler. Only one O-ring runs around the entire cooler. The design around the cooling fins and jetplate makes for a cleaner look. The illumination of the digitally addressable RGB LEDs is even better distributed throughout the cooler as a result of the chrome plating. The terminal's design is in line with the classic Aurora design.Thermal paste & thermal padsThe included thermal compound is Alphacool's Subzero. With a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK, it is one of the highest performing thermal pastes on the market. The electrically non-conductive thermal compund is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be processed perfectly due to its viscosity of 850,000 TF. Alphacool Soft Pads with 1mm thickness are used on the voltage converter and the graphics memory. The thermal conductivity of the pads is 7 W/mK. The pads for the back of the PCB are 3mm thick and have a thermal conductivity of 3 W/mK. All distances to heat-relevant components have been kept small, which means that the heat from thermal problem areas such as GDDR6X RAM and voltage converters is ideally dissipated. The PEEK spacers made from high-performance plastic ideally insulate the cooler from the circuit board and make installation easier. The legendary Kryonaut thermal paste from Thermal Grizzly ensures the best possible heat transfer. Dual layer inflow and symmetrical cooling design The dual-layer inflow, like the symmetrical cooling design, can also be found in the PRO version of our HEATKILLER V GPU cooler. The increased inflow is particularly important for the high-performance base plate. The splitting of the water into two levels ensures better flow through the cooler. The wide and symmetrical flow paths optimize the flow and thus the general performance of the HEATKILLER V Pro cooler. Selected high-performance thermal pads for GDDR6X Our development department has invested a lot of time in finding the ideal thermal pads for the hot GDDR6X RAMs. We have found a thermal pad that significantly reduces the temperatures around the GDDR6X RAM compared to the very good standard pads. Design-integrated side connection threads Another innovation is the connection threads integrated into the side of the terminal. Together with the screwless cover and the backplate included in the package, the result is a cooler that looks like a single unit. In order to achieve the best possible appearance, the HK V PRO was designed so that no electronic components of the circuit board are visible. Backplate and aRGB in the package The new cooler design relies on assembly including a backplate. In our case, the black backplate ensures improved distribution of forces around the cooling block. In addition to an impressive look, this also results in better temperatures. The aRGB stripes used now have a modular structure and a compact plug-in system. Thanks to the high compatibility of our LEDs, the Heatkiller can be integrated into any lighting concept. The plug-in system also allows the cooler to be used quite easily without lighting.
